Tuesday, Syracuse FC announced the signing of Stefanos Stamoulacatos. A Camillus native, he played for West Genesee and Syracuse University during his scholastic career. This past winter, he played his first season with the Syracuse Silver Knights, recording a goal and assist in ten games. Stamoulacatos is no stranger to the NPSL, playing with the Rochester River Dogz (now Rochester Lancers) last summer.
Now, for you wondering, yes, the Rochester Lancers are back. They are no longer in the MASL indoor league, but they replace the Rochester River Dogz in the NPSL. Along with the name change, they have made huge news lately with signings of their own. They signed Rochester Rhinos legend and former Lancer and Silver Knight Doug Miller as coach, followed by announcing the signing of Syracuse Silver Knight and former AFC Cleveland star Antonio Manfut. Miller and Manfut join Silver Knight Jake Schindler in the Flower City, and will square off with Syracuse FC twice this year.
Syracuse FC gets their first season going on May 20th when they host reigning NPSL Champion AFC Cleveland at OCC's Murphy Field. Kickoff is set for 7pm.
