Last night, the Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bison with an epic comeback that ended in the 10th inning. Down 4-0 in the bottom of the 9th, the Chiefs tallied four runs in the frame, with big hits coming from Trea Turner, Tong Gwynn Jr., and Matt Skole. In the 10th, Steven Lerud drove in Caleb Ramsey with a walk-off single to complete the comeback. Excellent effort from the Chiefs! I wonder if any extra magic came from the blue throwback jerseys they were sporting last night? Another note to add, Stephen Strasburg will have another rehab start with the Chiefs. He will pitch Wednesday when the Chiefs host the Pawtucket Red Sox at NBT Bank Stadium.
Finally, there are some big games coming up this weekend. The Syracuse Strong are back in action on Saturday, hosting Watertown Red and Black at Nottingham High School. Down in North Carolina, the Rochester Rhinos look to remain unbeaten as they take on the Charlotte Independence. Both games are scheduled to start at 7pm.
