With Hartford City FC being dropped this early in the season, several MASL teams had to scramble to fill voids in their schedules. For the Syracuse Silver Knights, they were able to quickly find opponents to replace matches with the what was the latest expansion club. For home dates, the Knights will now host the Dallas Sidekicks, Missouri Comets, and two additional matches against the Harrisburg Heat. As for road matches, Syracuse will travel for matches against St. Louis and Cedar Rapids.
I am disappointed with the news over Hartford City FC, especially for the players who they signed. Hopefully, they will be picked up by teams throughout the league. Knowing Tommy Tanner, he is probably hard at work trying to bring some of them in. As for the schedule adjustments, I am excited for all the new matches, especially against opponents that the Knights have not or rarely face. This is mainly for Dallas, St. Louis, and Missouri. I think this will allow the Knights to up their competitive play and increase the excitement for this season.
Below is the exact dates of the new matches.
November 28th- Home vs. Dallas Sidekicks
January 15th- Away vs. St. Louis Ambush
January 16th- Away vs. Cedar Rapids Rampage
February 18th- Home vs. Missouri Comets
February 21st- Home vs. Harrisburg Heat
March 4th- Home vs. Harrisburg Heat
