It was a tale of two halves in this Saturday night showdown. The first half saw a close game with scoring picking up halfway through the first quarter. Ubiparipovic and Manfut would get the first goals of the match before Dallas would fight their way back. The referees called a strict game in the first half, which would hurt Syracuse greatly. Dallas would score twice on power play opportunities to draw the game even.
"I thought we made some stupid penalties," Tommy Tanner said after the game. "You cannot keep fouling and not expect to go into the penalty box."
The Knights would go into halftime up a goal thanks to a late Ubiparipovic goal in the second quarter.
A new fire was lit for the Knights coming out of halftime. They would get goals from Manfut, Garrett Losse, and Nate Bourdeau while goalie Bryan O'Quinn kept Dallas off the scoreboard in the third quarter. The Sidekicks would make a game of it in the final frame. Even with goals from Bo Jelovac and Kenardo Forbes, Dallas would use the sixth attacker to pull within three goals. However, Manfut would ice the game with his third goal late in the quarter to give the Knights their second win.
After the game, Antonio Manfut credited Coach Tanner for the Knight's huge turn around in the second half.
"Coach got on us about our mistakes and everything. We ended up fixing that with not too many mistakes in the second half, especially fouls. We were able to put away our chances and not give them too many opportunities."
