"Next season is definitely happening" Tanner expressed soundly. "We got through this year, hopefully some of our expenses will go down and we're excited going forward."
Back in November, Tanner told Lindsay Kramer of Syracuse Media Group the 2015-16 season would play a huge factor in the team existing further into the future. He cited rising costs in health insurance and operating expenses as the main trouble spots for the organization. This season, the Knights have a record of 11-8 and will host Detroit on Saturday in the first round of the MASL playoffs. They have drawn large crowds this seasons with promotions that include Star Wars Night and Irish Night. They have also taken down major foes in Baltimore, Dallas, and Detroit. With the fold of the Rochester Lancers, the Knights have also seen an increase of fans from the Flower City coming to cheer on former players now playing for the Salt City club.
The Syracuse Silver Knights host the Harrisburg Heat on Friday night, March 4th. First kick is scheduled for 7:30pm. In another exclusive news break, The Fair Cuse Sports Report is revealing the special jersey the Silver Knights will be wearing for their playoff game on Saturday night. The jersey, seen below, reflects the partnership with the Syracuse Convention and Visitors Bureau. The Saturday playoff match against Detroit is scheduled for a 7pm start.
